PAUL JAEGER ASSOCIATES, INC., CORRALES, NM

Web Developer (Contract), February 2009 to Present as Needed

Developed and support the WIC EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) & Settlement Services (WESS) website in ASP.Net, SQL Server, and Crystal Reports. WESS is a browser application for the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) nutrition program for the State of Wyoming. It is one of three interconnected physical systems playing separate and distinct roles in the project. The State of Wyoming incorporates Smart Cards and uses electronic processing of claims from and payments to vendors. This requires the state to keep track of eligible vendors and to provide vendors with a list of allowable food products that can be redeemed. These activities require that various data elements be maintained and that various inquiries and reporting be provided in order to manage this process. The WESS website includes:

-   The Administrative Interface permits clinic and state personnel to review all activity associated with a beneficiary’s Smart Card.

-   The Food Management System maintains the Approved Product List (APL) of Universal Product Codes (UPC) and Product Lookup (PLU) codes for food benefits allowed by the USDA/FNS. The module permits authorized personnel to update APL information and automatically notifies vendors when updates occur.

-   The Vendor Information System records redemption activity at vendor sites. In order to manage this activity, the system records and uses information describing these vendors. The module permits authorized personnel to view and update vendor information.

-   Management Reports delivers management reports with runtime options for selection of filtering and sorting criteria and ad hoc reports which respond to requests from WIC personnel for various types of information as needed on a one-time basis.

Sharon joined our team for what was to be 6 weeks of “bail-out” work to help repair a system that had gotten out of control. I was amazed at how quickly she learned both the database and the code that supports a fairly complex web based application. She wrote SQL scripts, dot net code and javascript all at an extremely high skill level. I kept her busy for much longer than the original 6 weeks, and she quickly became our lead developer. That project is complete, but we expect to hire her back when the next project goes into production.
I also cherish her honesty and straightforwardness. She does not hesitate to suggest better ways of doing things. She respects, but does not fear, authority, and I was sure she would keep us on a practical course throughout the project. She works well without supervision, but does not hesitate to ask for help when something baffles her - which is extremely rare. I recommend Sharon without hesitation.

I have had the privilege of working with Sharon Dymond on several web based application projects for the Marine Forces Reserves based in New Orleans. These projects involved intricate database, web service and Active Directory integration which rendered cost and schedule information for drill weekend and annual training. Over ten thousand users dispersed throughout the United States currently utilize and are dependant on these applications.
Sharon was instrumental in creating the design, logic and implementation of these applications. Her coding skills are heads above any other developer collaborating on these projects. I learned a lot from working with Sharon and feel very lucky that I had the opportunity to work with her.
I would highly recommend her to anyone considering hiring a developer because her superior programming skills would be a great asset.

Sharon was brought to our team knowing the project would be a steep learning curve for all. As the Lead Developer, she quickly gave ideas on the establishment of a SharePoint Portal 2003 system for Marines worldwide. From start to finish, Sharon applied countless hours on and off schedule to accommodate third party applications for the SharePoint portal. Sharon provided SQL script training to the team, including helping myself with increasing .net development skills. Her knowledge of application development and business processes kept our team in a leading edge over our Marine competition.
Sharon not only contributed to the work of our team, but the environment as well. She was looked upon for guidance as a friend, and co-worker. I never had to second guess her work, I knew if there was anything asked of her she would get the job done with no supervision or pressure. I am pleased and honored to still know Sharon, as I continue to seek her guidance in development. I highly recommend Sharon Dymond to any team seeking a self-motivated, team oriented candidate!

Sharon Dymond reported to me on a major project as a software engineer in 2007 and 2008. The project involved a large web application that was deployed nationwide over the Marine Corps Reserve (MARFORRES) Network. This application had visibility at the highest level of the MARFORRES and had an extremely tight development schedule.
For most of this project Sharon acted as a software section lead and was instrumental in developing tasks and completion dates. I feel she was an asset in both the control and technical completion of this project.
Without Sharon’s dedication and highly developed skills as a programmer and designer, the project would never have been completed. She performed as a member of a software design team and worked extremely well working in her role and helping others with their associated tasks. I feel she is a real asset to any design project and would be happy to recommend her for any development task; especially one that involves creative thinking, tight schedule, and a major emphasis on completion.
